Cinely

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everything you create, upload or share with Cinely, on our website (cinelyai.com) and in our apps. It is part of our Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

1. Cinely uses generative AI

Cinely is a generative AI video tool. When you describe an idea, AI models write the script, draw the characters and scenes, animate them into video and generate the voices, music and subtitles. The images, storyboards, videos and audio you receive are generated by AI, not filmed or drawn by people.

  • Outputs may be inaccurate. AI-generated content can contain mistakes, inconsistencies or results you did not expect. Review what you make before you share or rely on it.
  • Labelled as AI-generated. Cinely labels previews and finished videos as AI-generated. When you share a video, do not present it as real footage of real events or real people.
  • You are responsible for your prompts and uploads. You are responsible for what you ask Cinely to generate and for how you use the result.

2. Use original characters

Cinely is for your own stories and your own characters. Describe the characters you invent, or use photos you have the right to use (see below). Do not ask Cinely to recreate characters, worlds or brands that belong to someone else.

3. Prohibited content

You must not use Cinely to create, upload or share:

  • Sexual or nude content, including sexually explicit scenes, nudity, sexualized descriptions of bodies or outfits, and pornographic material of any kind.
  • Any content involving minors in a sexual or harmful context. This includes sexualized depictions of anyone who is or appears to be under 18, and content that shows minors being abused, exploited or endangered. Where required by law, we report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
  • Copyrighted or trademarked characters and franchises, for example characters from Star Wars, Disney or Pixar films such as Monsters, Inc., Marvel, DC, Pokémon, anime series or video games, or content that copies their names, costumes, logos or distinctive designs. The same applies to copyrighted songs, lyrics and other material you do not have the rights to.
  • Real people, celebrities and deepfakes. Content that depicts or names real public figures or celebrities, impersonates a real person, or puts a real person’s face, voice or likeness into a video without their consent, or in a way meant to deceive. Using your own photo, or a photo of someone who has agreed to it, as a character in your film is allowed.
  • Photos of people without their consent. Only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have agreed to their photo being used, and never photos of a minor unless you are their parent or legal guardian.
  • Hate: content that attacks, demeans or promotes violence against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or similar characteristics.
  • Harassment and bullying, including content that targets, threatens, humiliates or shares private information about a specific person.
  • Graphic violence and gore, including realistic depictions of serious injury, torture or death, and content that promotes self-harm or suicide.
  • Illegal activity, including content that promotes or gives instructions for crimes, terrorism, weapons, drugs, fraud or scams, and any content that is unlawful where you live or where you share it.
  • Misleading content designed to deceive people, such as fake news footage, fake endorsements or videos presented as real events.

4. How we enforce this policy

  • Automated filters. Prompts, scripts, character descriptions and edits are checked by automated filters before anything is generated, and the images and video are checked again by safety filters while they are generated. A request that breaks this policy is refused, and we tell you what to change.
  • Blocked requests are not charged. If a request is refused before generation starts, no credits are used. If a film is stopped by a safety filter during generation, the credits for it are returned to your account automatically.
  • Removal. We may remove content that breaks this policy, including videos already published or shared from Cinely.
  • Account action. Repeated or serious violations may lead to restrictions, suspension or termination of your account, without a refund for credits or subscription time lost as a result, where the law allows.

Automated filters are not perfect. Content that gets past a filter is still subject to this policy.

5. Reporting content and takedown requests

If you see content made with Cinely that breaks this policy, or you are a rights holder or a person depicted without consent, email us at support@minu.ai with a link to or description of the content and the reason for your report. For copyright complaints, please identify the work you own and the content you believe infringes it. We review every report and remove content that breaks this policy or the law.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. By continuing to use the Service, you agree to the current version.
