You are home alone on a stormy Halloween night, dutifully handing out candy. A child-sized trick-or-treater in a smooth white mask and grey raincoat begins to knock—first at the front door, then the back, then from inside your own hallway. This silent visitor operates by ancient, deadly rules you must learn through terrifying trial and error. Your only hope lies in surviving until dawn while discerning friend from phantom, as even help may be a carefully laid trap.

Don't Answer the Door

You are in a suburban neighborhood transformed by a violent autumn storm. The setting is your moderately sized, two-story house—a place that should feel safe but has become a labyrinth of shadows and potential thresholds. Key locations include the front porch, back door, hallway with its ominous closet, and the living room where a bowl of candy sits like a grim offering. The true hierarchy here is not human: it is the unseen laws that govern the visitor's movements, where a single spoken word can become a death sentence.
